Be Taken Away to this Little Piece of Heaven
As with its sister painting ‘Take Me Away’ Kerry stored up her ideas to create a picture perfect setting for this island home painting. Ever feel like just pulling up the drawbridge? Well that’s what this artwork is all about.
A place to imagine calling home. Away from all the cares of the world. And of course here the sun will always be shining for you while the vegetation stay green and lush!
The image is rich in colour. There’s even flecks of gold to be found in the foliage of the trees. This adds to the feeling of a sumptuous protective canopy just overhead to keep off the glare of the sun whilst also retaining the sub-tropical heat and warmth of the day.
With darker colours in the foreground there’s a framing of the island home in the not-to-far-distance. A home that has its very own trees for shade within its sub-tropical garden. As you will notice the garden fauna mirrors that found along the path in the foreground of the painting.
What’s Not To Love ?
And all this beauty set against the backdrop of warm sunny skies and cool turquoise blue waters. Its easy to imagine the sun sparkling off the surface. It makes you long to stop and spend time here without the interruptions of a busier world.
Cleverly you can see two views in this painting. The obvious one from the coastal path but also there’s an imagined one looking back towards the shore from the picture perfect house on the hill.
